Our program provides the foundation to start working in a salon or even run their own business. Additionally, the social aspect of a hairdressing career can help refugees integrate into their new community by interacting with diverse clients.

Computer Program

Our basic computer skills program for refugees provides them with essential knowledge to navigate the digital world, which is critical for employment, communication, and integration into their new communities. Digital literacy is an important tool for accessing essential services, staying connected with loved ones, and continuing education. Many of these skills are foundational for more advanced technological learning in the future. 

Basic Computer Operation
  • Understanding the hardware: Learning about the components of a computer, including the keyboard, mouse, monitor, and how they work together
  • Operating System Navigation: Familiarity with operating systems like Windows or MacOS, including how to log in, shut down, and troubleshoot common issues
  • File Management: How to create, save, organize, and retrieve files and folders

Soap making program

A soap-making program for refugees offers a practical and creative skill set that can lead to self-employment, business opportunities, and the chance to integrate into a new community while providing a valuable product. By the end

of the program, refugees will have the confidence, skills, and resources to start their own soap-making venture or join an existing business. The program will help them build both their technical and entrepreneurial skills, creating a pathway for financial stability and social integration.

  • Basic principles of soap making: Understanding the chimistry behind soap
  • Safety procedures: How to safely handle ingredients such as lye (sodium hydroxide), which can be dangerous if mishandled
  • Understanding Ingredients: Oils and fats, Essential oils and fragrances, Natural additives, Coloring agents
  • Soap-Making Methods: Cold Process Soap, Hot Process SoapMelt and Pour Soap
  • Packaging and Presentation: How to package soap in an attractive and professional way, using natural or recycled materials

English Literacy For Adults

Our program provides essential language skills to help them integrate into their new community, access services, find employment, and communicate effectively in daily life.

 Our program equips participants with a diverse set of culinary, operational, and business skills to build a sustainable career in the food industry. The program typically covers both practical cooking techniques and essential service management skills.

  • Menu Planning and Recipe Development: Learning how to design menus that cater to various dietary needs and preferences, including fusion cuisine that can merge cultural tastes
