Vision

We envision a refugee community in Nakivale and beyond where women and young people are self-reliant, economically independent, and have equal opportunities to thrive.

Mission

UJUZI Co-Creation Hub’s mission is to equip refugee women and youth with vocational and entrepreneurship skills to create sustainable livelihoods and economic inclusion.

Objectives

Our objective is to empower them to build dignified, self-sustaining futures by creating businesses, accessing employment and influencing policies that affect them.

Values

Empowerment through Skills and Opportunity

UJUZI is committed to equipping refugee women and youth with vocational and entrepreneurial skills that enable self-reliance, financial independence, and dignified livelihoods. By providing practical, income-generating training, they help individuals take control of their futures.

Community-Led and Needs-Based Approach

As a refugee-led and community-driven organization, UJUZI ensures its programs are directly informed by the real needs of the refugee community. This ensures relevance, trust, and greater impact.

Collaboration and Inclusion

UJUZI values partnerships with local and international stakeholders, including businesses, donors, and volunteers. These collaborations expand access to funding, mentorship, and business networks, while also amplifying refugee voices.

Sustainable Development and Social Cohesion

Beyond individual success, UJUZI fosters social unity through inclusive activities like sports and arts. Their goal is to create a supportive, integrated community while building long-term, sustainable refugee-led businesses and employment opportunities.
