Our Values

At UJUZI Co-Creation Hub, our work is guided by a deep commitment to empowerment, inclusion, and community-led innovation. As a refugee-led, community-driven organization, we believe in the power of self-reliance and dignity through skills development and opportunity creation.

  • Empowerment: We equip refugee women and youth with practical vocational and entrepreneurship skills, enabling them to become economically independent and take charge of their futures.

  • Inclusivity and Equity: We are committed to building a community where every individual, regardless of background, has equal access to opportunities and the resources they need to thrive.

  • Responsiveness and Relevance: Our programs are tailored to real, on-the-ground needs. From tailoring to soap making, and computer literacy to entrepreneurship, we ensure that every course is meaningful, marketable, and empowering.

  • Sustainability: By fostering business creation and employment pathways, we support refugees in building sustainable livelihoods and reducing dependency on aid.

  • Collaboration and Partnership: We work hand-in-hand with local and international partners—businesses, donors, and volunteers—to expand access to markets, mentorship, and funding, and to amplify refugee voices.

  • Community Building: We go beyond training by nurturing social cohesion through shared activities like sports, arts, and events, strengthening bonds within the refugee community.

  • Advocacy: We champion the rights and voices of refugee youth, ensuring they are heard and represented in decisions that affect their lives.

Our core belief is that economic empowerment is key to transforming refugee communities. By focusing on practical education, business development, and personal growth, we foster confidence, hope, and a pathway to lasting change.
